Omega 3 vegetal is a dietary supplement based on Flaxseed Oil obtained by cold pressing and naturally rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), linoleic acid and oleic acid, useful as a support for the function and integrity of the circulatory system and skin. Flaxseed Oil is the richest natural source of ALA, a polyunsaturated fatty acid in the omega 3 series that, when taken into the body, is converted to eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), the precursor of series 3 prostaglandins, series 5 leukotrienes and series 3 thromboxanes; it also contains a fraction of omega 6 fatty acids in the form of linoleic acid and omega 9 fatty acids in the form of oleic acid. Flaxseed Oil may have anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic activity, may be indicated in hyperlipidemia, to decrease platelet aggregation, cholesterol levels and blood pressure. It may be an adjunct in the prevention of heart disease and cerebral vascular disorders, to improve some symptoms of arthritis, and as an adjunct for skin and hair health. There is no data to support its usefulness in the treatment of anxiety, benignprostatic hypertrophy, constipation, vaginitis, andobesity.
